Compelling Stories
Classical Practices
Contemporary Voices

excerpt from Fragile Femme, LOAM’s premiere project

LOAM owes its origins to the Bard College Conservatory of Music and its singular Vocal Arts program.

partnered for their capstone performance project, co-founders, Micah Gleason and Joanne Evans found themselves with a common creative goal: to produce classical works that they wanted to see; to demonstrate to contemporary audiences what is to be loved and revered in opera and recitals, and what is to be untangled, evolved and expanded. This lead them through their project and beyond, into a long-term creative partnership.
With the goal of staging existing works and commissioning brand new pieces, LOAM presents multi-disciplinary performances using their classical training to create compelling experiences and tell important stories through the presentation of new, and newly imagined works.
Loam is currently based out of chicago.
